Mark was born on October 25, 1951 and during high school lived on W. Pennsylvania Street in the west end of Allentown. He graduated from Drexel University in 1973 or 1974 with, I believe, a BA in Humanities. I actually came to know him a little better when we both started at Drexel in the fall of 1969; we sought each other out as the only two 1969 PHS graduates that we knew of starting at Drexel that year. As Luther mentioned, Mark was quiet (to outward appearances) and thoughtful. That thoughtful side gave rise to a great internal passion for the underdog and less fortunate in society. In that regard he bacame very interested in politics where we occasionally respectfully disagreed but enjoyed the discussions none the less. Our contact was somewhat intermitant at Drexel (we had different majors and initially lived in different ends of campus) and for several years afterward until his, all too early, death on November 2, 1982 in Los Angeles where he worked as a civilian in the Navy Department of Procurement (I think I have this substantially correct). He achieved what we all appreciate in each other more and more the older we get - he was a good person.
