Knappenberger, Pamela SusanPamela Susan (Peters) Knappenberger, 63, of Slatington, died Monday, January 26, 2015. She was the wife of the Rev. James L. Knappenberger to whom she was married 41 years. Born in Allentown, July 31, 1951, Pam was the daughter of the late Edwin E. and Annie M. (Wetherhold) Peters. She was employed as a Librarian/Media Specialist at Raub Middle School in Allentown for 12 years. Prior to that, she was a self-employed vocal and piano teacher over 30 years and taught music in the Parkland School District Elementary Schools from 1973 - 1977. Pam was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Trexlertown, formerly singing with the choir and playing with the bell choir. Survivors: In addition to her loving husband Jim; children, Rebecca Amy Knappenberger and her fiancé David A. Orth of Slatington, the Rev. Joshua D. Knappenberger and his wife, Angela of Strausstown. Services: Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at her home church, Union United Church of Christ, 5550 PA Route 873, Neffs. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Friday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund of St. Paul's U.C.C., Trexlertown c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196
