Stephanie Reisner, age 66 of Mercersburg, PA passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 with her family by her side. Stephanie was born September 28, 1951 in Allentown, PA, the daughter of Stephen and Hester Cook Howzdy. She loved her family and she loved spending time with children. Stephanie was an instructor at the Mercersburg Pre School, an instructional assistant at Mountain View Elementary and a kindergarten teacher at Mercersburg Elementary from 1991-2011. She truly was a lover of children. She served on the St. John’s Lutheran Church Council, the Fendrick Library Board of Directors and the Pre School Board. She worked tirelessly to improve her community and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Stephanie is survived by her husband of 44 years Karl Reisner, two children, Kristopher (husband of Juanita) and Amanda (wife of Jean Kenel) and three grandchildren, Alex, Matthew and Amelia.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 16 at the Irvine Chapel at the Mercersburg Academy at Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stephanie’s memory to the Fendrick Library, 20 North Main Street, Mercersburg, PA 17236 or the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation, 7 South Earl St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
